كتاب يعرض فيه ابن هشام الأنصاري أبيات شعر صعبة المعاني غامضة المباني، فهي ألغاز لمن لم يعرف معناها ويدرك إعرابها.

وقد يظنها القارئ لأول وهلة فيها أخطاء إملائية أو نحوية، وأن ظاهرها فاسد قبيح، إلا أن باطنها جيد صحيح.

إلا أن ابن هشام الأنصاري يقوم بعرض بيت الشعر والإشكال الذي فيه، ثم يقوم بتفسيره وإعراب ما فيه.
